...And then there were two

Get to the point: Mess has left to bigger and better things. He's been talking about moving and finally got all his ducks in a row and then he left.

Mess is a great friend that I will miss a lot. I guess he also gets what he wants just as I do.

So it's just me and Hush Puppy. Mess is not easily replaceable. I just wonder if we'll have somebody that will out Mess Mess.

We went out for our monthly get together last weekend. And we just talked and had a great dinner at Luby's. Mess likes it for his fish he always orders.

This Aussie hunk turns 43 today. What can I say but he's drop dead gorgeous. So far I have not seen a bad film with him in it.

Happy 52nd Birthday, yesterday for Simon Cowell. He is definitely a hottie for me. He was the main reason I watch American Idol.

Wish you Were Here

Yep. I tripped again today and I have to send everyone pics of my latest adventure.

So there I was walking home after a fabulous meal at Manhatten. Traffic was so bad I actually didn't jay walk. So I'm walking through a parking lot. Don't know how it happened, it just did.

I landed on both knees and fell toward my left side and even got to scrape my left elbow. And I slid a bit before I was through. I tried to get up but then I got a cramp in both legs.

I couldn't get up so easily as I had before. I used my cane to help me get up and eventually got on my feet and slowly walked the longest block ever to get home.

Sad but true. My dinner was starting to come up but I was able to wait until I got home to throw up part of dinner. Then I started to come back to earth.

Women who Lunch

HP came over to check his email today. So he did some stuff and then we decided to do lunch. I mentioned the Oasis and how they're a great restaurant.

The Wednesday special is chicken enchiladas with mole sauce. It was fabulous. HP actually ordered the enchiladas also. He's kinda adventurous and loved the mole sauce.

We came back to do some more surfing and he helped me order my Aetna card. And he checked out the porn that I share with him.

So today was a great day. Niece D and husband Larry drove over to Mess's apartment to get a futon for my home. No problem whatsoever today. I also got some quick picks for the lotto. I must win so I can buy a condo. And what Chiflado wants, Chiflado gets.

The Incedent

So there I was at Blanco one Saturday morning. My routine is to go have chilaquiles and coffee.

So my waitress topped my coffee and started to go back to the counter. Out of the blue she screamed at me. This was in Spanish. The coffee is bad for me. And that I drink too much of it.

Of course no manager was around. So I'm boycotting Blanco for a while. I'll go with friends, but I'll decide which restaurant I want for my alone time.

Recommendation

I'm kinda staying away from the Blanco Cafe because of the incident. Turns out there's a restaurant downstairs I'd never used. Actually I did get some breakfast tacos and they were delicious.

El Oasis is a small restaurant with maybe about 20 tables or so. The service is good and the food out of this world. I had chilaquiles the other day and today I had the green enchiladas.

I used to see a lot of people going in for lunch and now I know why. I definitely recommend this restaurant. They're at 323 N Main.
